1 The license

For your engine code, chosen above. This is the heart of Bootmod3.

2 OBD wifi adapter

Connects your phone or laptop to your BMW's OBD port. Buy it once, and it works every time after that.

3 DME unlock, sometimes

For some engines, the engine computer needs a one-time unlock. We do this in the workshop, in twenty to thirty minutes while you wait. Only with a Bosch MG1CS003, MD1CP002 or DME9 does the engine computer have to be sent out.

From order to first drive.

Stap 01 Order your license

Choose the license for your engine code and check out in the shop.

Stap 02 Connect the adapter

Plug the OBD adapter into your BMW and connect it to your phone or laptop.

Stap 03 Flash the tune

Choose the RON95 or RON98 map and flash the software from your screen.

Stap 04 Revert whenever you want

The original software stays saved, and you can restore it yourself, for example for a dealer visit.

What's the difference between the RON95 and RON98 tune?

Both are included with the license. The RON98 map gets more out of the engine because the fuel allows more headroom. Always choose the map for the fuel you actually fill up with.

What does this mean for my warranty?

A tune can affect your factory warranty. You can always restore the original software, and we'll tell you upfront and honestly how it applies to your car.

Is it reversible?

Yes. The original software stays saved, and you can flash it back yourself whenever you want.

Which models is Bootmod3 for?
